Cannon will present his experience as a freelance cartoonist, a path that every graduate may dip into at some point in their careers. Cannon has worked on varied art projects for diverse clients, and will boil down his experiences into some takeaway lessons. Cannon will challenge some current ideas about working for free and how to value one’s own art & time–something freelancers must deal with on every single project.

Grad Workshops This Week

Posted on 24 February 2014 by Paige Cambern

Here are the Grad Workshops coming up at the end of the week!

Friday February 28th

Athena Currier – 01:00 pm Room 101

Adam Del Re – 02:00 pm Room 101

MAKING MINIS: Do you have tons of pretty sketches, but they’re all in a butt-ugly sketchbook? Or comic pages that just float around without a proper cover to call home? Then you NEED to come to Adam and Athena’s Mini-Comics Crafternoon!! At 1, Athena will show you how to take your favorite old books, recycled covers, or whatever you like, to make into your very own sketchbooks, that reflect just how pretty the art inside is! Then at 2, Adam will show you two different way to take all your pretty art and make a mini-comic out of it with a z-stitch, getting it ready to show to editors and sell at conventions. With the Mini-Comics mingle just around the corner, and Editor’s day soon to follow, you can’t afford to miss these exciting workshops!!
