2015/2016 sequential art mentor

will visit SCAD September 30-October 3, 2015.


Her published works have involved such popular franchises as Star Trek, The Dark Crystal and Fraggle Rock. She is currently working with writer Jim Pascoe on Cottons, an original graphic novel for First Second.


She will be visiting classes and giving presentations and workshops during her time on campus. If you see her on campus please feel free to say hello.

Seeing a Career Path

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. , Friday, October 2 at the SCAD Student Center

Heidi will present her work and discuss her career with particular emphasis on how the time spent at SCAD translated into a promising career.



World Building: Traditions, Tips, and Tricks

10:30—11:30 am, Saturday, October 3 at Haymans Hall, room 118

The workshop will involve world building techniques. Heidi will share some of the secrets she’s discovered in creating a world for her own stories. She will take questions afterwards in a Q&A session.

All forms must be fully filled out. Forms are due by 5pm, Tuesday, September 22nd. Drop off your application form and samples of your work in room 307, Hayman’s Hall. There will be a box on the first desk to the right of the doorway in room 307.
