Workshop: Architecture: Research

What is architecture? How and why do we build? What do you need to consider as you build the world within your
story? Join sequential art graduate student Kelsey Nix as she explores these questions. Every building is its own story; learn to harness the storytelling power of architecture to help advance your own narratives.

Stick around afterwards as sequential art graduate student Allie Pipitone shows how all of the pieces come together in a perspective-based workshop. Not comfortable drawing architecture? No problem! This all-levels crash course focuses on the basics and applying them through various techniques. Bring a sketchbook and be ready to draw along. You gon’ learn today.
Workshop: Drawing and Colouring Digitally
Time: 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Join sequential art graduate student Mark Whitaker as he conducts a demo on how to approach drawing and coloring comics digitally. Want to learn more about drawing digitally? Mark will go over how he approaches drawing and coloring and painting using various brushes and layer settings in both photoshop and manga studio. Q & A to follow.
