Agreed. .docx files won’t open on older versions of certain programs. Place it as a .doc format if possible to make this accessible to us who are lacking in the technologies please. I can has tutorial.

Thanks for a great episode. I can’t wait to try inking with Illustrator. So far I’ve done most of my digital inking with Photoshop, but Illustrator seems like it’s the way to go.

I recognized Elena’s style right off the bat.

I had the same problem, but here isa solution for those having trouble:
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack: Lets you open new Office formats in old software:

Great tutorial though, I tried it right away! One difference I noticed is that in PC CS2 Illustrator to deselect a line the command is “Shift-Ctrl-A” which can be kind of a pain to do often (and when I say pain I mean minor inconvenience).
Thanks again!

Hey guys! Sorry about not replying sooner. If any of you are still having trouble opening up the docx file, I’m going to upload an updated version of this tutorial with some extra tips I’ve learned. I’ll try to get it posted with the next podcast update. I hope it helps! =)
By the way, Josh:
If you double click the “brushes” icon in the tools menu, you can uncheck “keep selected” and that should solve your problem of having to constantly deselect. This is a trick Jeremy taught me, it’s made my life a lot easier. =)
