Podcast 146: What are comics?

Posted on 07 October 2010 by admin

Hey hey hey, SEQALab listeners! We’re back for another action-packed season of everyone’s favorite comic podcast! Due to graduations, transfers and internships with super awesome comic companies, our PJ count is down and we’ll only be serving up one cast a week this quarter. But that’s okay! We’ll make sure it’s extra awesome.

Today’s cast delves into the meaning of our favorite medium. What are comics? What are graphic novels? What defines them? WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Give a listen, and find out!

And here’s a link to the video lecture by Niel Cohn: What Is Visual Language?

Yo SEQALab, here’s a comment to reassure you that listeners exist, particularly outside of SCAD. I’m a longtime listener and I’m a high schooler in New York. You’ve got fans all over the nation!

Glad to see the SEQAdrought is over. Time to get back in the habit of listening in while drawing. In terms of stuff to draw to, the podcast usually ranks above even music for me. Keep up the solid work!
