    There are some really awesome tips in here! I really enjoyed hearing about “the other” side of comics. Being an artist first, and a writer second, there was a lot of really interesting info that helped to both prove and debunk my own personal theories. Also, I discovered that I do a few things naturally (thank goodness) that I didn’t realize were so crucial to the writing process. Good episode!

    I have a comment about the sub-discussion that you should have the ending in place before you start really writing the story. I attended SPX this past September, and saw a panel discussion with Craig Thompson, and the moderator-guy was talking with him about Blankets. CT describes it as “a really big book about nothing”. The moderator asked him about the unusual ending and I quote from my notes:

    CT: I never knew how it was going to end.
    Moderator: Really?! You’re doing it wrong!
    CT: Yeah, I’ve heard of people starting at the end, it sounds smart…

    I guess it’s just another example of how rules are made to be broken? :)
